May. We make it better :)

Having read Susan's blog I got new inspiration to write in English. I need more practice. Again.
So if you want to follow me, please, read this first: A spring adventure

Yeah, we make it better. There must be something that we make better anyway. I am glad that Susan has chosen spring (and not snowbanks). Probably it is so long-awaited and finally, in the beginning of May, - is so worth of waiting!

But breath out. There are two rainy weeks coming. My hubby is against buying another pair of sandals for Tasya grounding on the fact that her foot would grow faster than the next sunny weather would come. May be he is right. In this climate zone one pair of sandals is more than enough.

So we are back to Moscow now. Tasya is wearing her sowsuit. Actually, it is not her warmest. It is waterproof. Moscow is beautiful in this time of the year. "Moscow wins" with blossoming lilac and chestnut trees and bushes the names of which stay unknown to me up to now. Alas. I walk and smell and take pictures. And I know, the fact that my camera is loaded with pics of flowers mainly, this fact turns me into a babushka. I'll post only the best pictures here not to get too boring :)

We left our dacha to natural irrigation. Hoping to see young spurts in the seedbeds when we come back. We left our garden blossoming with flowers of apple trees, pear, cherry... By the way, can you tell the differense bethween those? Which one of these trees is in the picture below?

I can not. I just know that this one was taken under a pear tree :)

And what comes next? Quince! I love making quince jams. It stores well all winter long.

And these incy wincy yellowish flowers that grow in pairs are honeysuckle berries. And the reason that I put it here is that I've got to learn this name in English finally. (Last year we called it blueberry and I was ok with that/ This year my daughter is old enough to learn the difference).

Seems like the best time is over. So what's next? Mosquitos. They are growing ripe already. When we come back to dacha there will be swarms of them. Later in July the gadfly take turn. And in August there must be wasps. I love dacha life anyway. No need to dress up. Need time to straighten up your back. More yoga, please. 

The next picture is very peculiar for me. This is how Mrs. Fitness Class Pass 5/7 turns into Mrs. Black Heeled Coarse Skin. (I wonder if this last sentence comprehensible at all?) 

And one more thought to add here before I close. As one of my good friends said, You've got to bring a girl to the city to make her your wife and after you've done it,  you've got to bring her back to the village to keep her.

Garden yoga story

This time we do yoga on our garden terrace and we name the poses according to what we see and what we do everyday in our garden: we plant and wather and watch the young spurts to grow. Garden is a place where the nature and the culture come so close together.

1. Watering can (sit down with legs splayed, bent one knee and put the sole of your foot next to inner thigh of the opposite leg, stretch your back towards the foot of the outstretched leg)

2. Garden shears (sit down with legs splayed, reach for the toes with both hands)

3. Earthworm - Cobra (Lie on your tummy, lift head and shoulders off ground, place palms flat next to your shoulders, and hiss like a snake.)

4. Rainbow – Bridge Pose or Wheel Pose (Come to lie on your back with your knees bent and your feet flat on the ground. Rest your arms down alongside your body, tuck your chin to your chest, and lift your buttocks to create a bridge. Pretend that you are the arches of a rainbow.

5. Dog, Bear, Roof (Step back to hands and feet, and walk like a bear.)

6. Bird – Warrior 3 Pose (Stand on one leg. Extend the other leg behind you. Bend your torso forward and take your arms out in front of you to pretend that you are flapping your wings like a bird.)

7. Scarecrow - (Stand with your legs apart, with your feet facing slightly outwards, arms outstreached, turn your head to the right and then to the left several times)
