Pirate treasure

We're jolly pirates we
That sail the deep blue sea
To find golden treasure
For sails are high yuipee!

Inspired by Peppa Pig stories about treasure I prepared a simple game for my little daughter. She is two and a half, so the game is really easy and short0 n . I buried the treasure chest in the garden - a tea can served a nice treasure chest :)
I put a little plank with X mark on it - "and X marks the spot“ they say in Peppa Pig series.
I drew a map, a very simple one - which is very useful when you bury the treasure - and put it into a bottle - message in a bottle!
The bottle was hidden in a little house and on the way to the little house there were  the arrows made of sticks, just like in Grandpa Pig's garden.
How she liked following the arrows! She strode with feet wide apart, like a duck.
Then in the house she found the bottle, but could not open it without me. But she liked the idea of message in a bottle, she took it out, unrolled it and tried to put it back into the bottle again witout taking any notice of any map at all :)
Have a look - I insisted, - this is the map, what is pictured there?
Our garden couch, the round table, the tree and... what is this? An X!
X marks the spot! - she repeated very well this phrase.
She saw the plank with X, took a shovel and dug up the chest! What was inside? The chocolate coins!
Real treasure :)

Play with your kids treasure hunt game, It is a lot of fun! It's easy to prepare. Make it more complicated if your kid is older and smart enough to read the map.
